OPaL Teams Shine at ACCQC-2026 with Outstanding Quality Achievements

ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) proudly participated in the 14th Annual Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (ACCQC-2026) organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Ankleshwar Chapter, held on 12 September 2026 at AIA Auditorium, GIDC, Ankleshwar.
Five OPaL teams from Central Lab, Security, Product Warehouse (PWH), PP and HDPE participated under the Allied Total Quality Concept - Five-S category, showcasing OPaL's commitment to Quality, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Operational Excellence
OPaL achieved an impressive result, with three teams winning Gold Awards and two teams securing Silver Awards. The award-winning teams were:
- Opal Security Warrior - Gold Award
- 5S Enhancer - Gold Award
- Five-S Ranger - Gold Award
- Synergy Squad PP - Silver Award
- Product Warehouse - Silver Award
Adding another milestone to OPaL's achievement, Sh. Ritesh Shah secured 3rd Prize in both the Essay and Slogan Competitions, demonstrating excellence beyond the case-study presentations.
The achievement is further distinguished by the participation of three OPaL executives-Sh. Manoj Tiwari, Sh. Mukesh Thapliyal and Sh. Vijayinder Singh-as judges for the convention.
With more than 1,000 participants and around 250 case-study presentations from 84 organisations, ACCQC-2026 provided a significant platform to demonstrate OPaL's best practices and quality initiatives.
The Gold Award-winning teams are now eligible to participate in the 40th National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2026) at Bhubaneswar.
This achievement reflects OPaL's strong culture of Quality, 5S, Continuous Improvement and Excellence, reinforcing its commitment to creating sustainable value through people-driven improvement initiatives.
