Shri Gurinder Singh joined OPaL as Managing Director on 16th August 2022.
Shri Singh has over three decades of experience in the Petrochemical Industry with expertise in Marketing, International Business, Product Management, Govt/Regulatory Liaison, Supply Chain Management, and Managing Profitability/Cash Flow for petrochemical operations based on technology, feedstock, and marketing operations. Shri Singh has rich experience in Trade Remedial Measures, Starting New Operations, Managing JVs, etc.
Before joining OPaL, Shri Singh has been working with Reliance International Limited, Abu Dhabi, UAE as Senior Vice President & Head - Petrochemicals. He has worked for more than 15 years with Reliance Industries Limited and its other subsidiaries. He had started with erstwhile NOCIL and has also worked with Borouge Pte Limited and Tricon Energy.
Shri Singh is an Engineering Graduate from Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, Odisha, and has done his Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He has also undertaken Management Development Programmes from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, INSEAD France, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Duke University, USA.
Shri Ritesh Kumar Mundra has joined OPaL as Director - Finance & Commercial, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), w.e.f 30th June 2026. Shri Mundra is a Chartered Accountant with over 27 years of diverse experience in Corporate Finance, Procurement – Material & Services, Foreign Exchange Payments, Investment Process, Startup Evaluation, and SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO).
Before joining OPaL, he served ONGC in several key positions. Most recently, he was Head Finance for Assam & Assam Arakan Basin and Jorhat Asset, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, business performance, and strategic decision-making.
He successfully completed the prestigious Leadership Development Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 2025, further strengthening his leadership and strategic management capabilities.
During his distinguished tenure at ONGC, Shri Mundra was a key member of the team that established the Shared Financial Services (SFS) framework. He was instrumental in developing the Role Matrix that laid the foundation for SFS operations and contributed significantly to streamlining ONGC's Book of Delegated Powers, enhancing governance, operational efficiency, and role clarity across the organization.
His professional excellence has been widely recognized. He was selected among the Top 60 executives under ONGC's prestigious Unnati Shikhar Leadership Programme, through which he attended the High-Performance Leadership Programme at Chicago Booth.
Shri Sanjay Bharti joined OPaL as Chief Finance Officer (CFO) on 27th June 2023.
Shri Bharti has over 25 years of experience with expertise in various domains of Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounts, Start-up Evaluation and Investment, Portfolio Management, Investment in Debt Securities, Procurement (both indigenous and imports), Forex Payments, Audit, SAP FI CO – TM implementations, Change Management, and implementation of Indian Accounting Standards, among others.
Leveraging his extensive knowledge in financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation, Shri Bharti demonstrates an unwavering commitment to achieving financial objectives while adhering to the highest standards of corporate governance. Prior to joining OPaL, Sri Bharti worked at ONGC in diverse roles, showcasing a proven track record of financial leadership.
Shri Bharti is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and MBA, LLB from the University of Delhi, and a DCLM from the Indian Law Institute, Delhi. He has further enriched his expertise by successfully completing the Management Development Programme on Leadership Beyond Boundaries from the Centre of Excellence, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Hyderabad. Additionally, he has attained certificates in Wealth Management and Financial Planning, as well as Startups, from ICAI.
Shri Arup Jhampri has been working with OPaL since 17th May 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of Petrochemicals. Before joining OPaL, he worked with Indian Petrochemical Corporation Ltd. (IPCL) and Reliance Industries Ltd. Shri Jhampri has been responsible for Plant Operation, Production & Planning, Manpower Scheduling, Troubleshooting, Production Budget, Checking & Updating of P&IDs and PFDs.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Calcutta University. He also holds a B.Tech Degree in Chemical Engineering from Calcutta University.
Shri Dhananjay Kumar joined OPaL as Head – Human Resources with effect from 30th June 2026. He is an accomplished Human Resources professional with 27 years of extensive experience in Human Resource Management, Corporate Strategy, Industrial Relations, Talent Acquisition and Succession Planning within ONGC.
He holds an MBA in Human Resource Development from the Delhi School of Economics. Prior to joining OPaL, he served as Head – Corporate Strategy at ONGC, New Delhi, where he contributed to the organization's strategic planning and business initiatives.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Shri Kumar has held several important positions across ONGC at Dehradun, Delhi, Bokaro and Assam. His areas of HR related functions span Industrial Relations, Human Resource Development, Recruitment, Promotions & Succession Planning, SAP-HR implementation etc.
Shri Kumar has made significant contributions to several flagship HR initiatives within ONGC. He was a member of the team that successfully implemented the SAP Human Resources module, strengthening digital HR processes across the organization. He also played a pivotal role in Talent Acquisition at ONGC, Assam and also as Head of ONGC Corporate Recruitment for more than 6 years.
Subsequently, as Head of Corporate Promotions, he spearheaded initiatives aimed at strengthening leadership continuity and organizational capability.
Shri Vijay Iyah joined OPaL as Head – MM on 11th October 2023.
Shri Vijay Iyah, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from MS University Vadodara and a silver medallist from IIFT, furthered his educational journey by obtaining an MBA in International Business from the International Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi. His professional career commenced in 1988 as a Design & Piping Engineer at UHDE (India) Limited, followed by his transition to ONGC in 1990. Over the course of 33 years, he has garnered extensive expertise in the realms of oil and gas, Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair of Offshore Facilities including maintenance of drilling rigs. Subsequently, he played a key role in the development of ONGC's Petrochemicals business.
In an earlier capacity, Shri Vijay Iyah played a pivotal role during the pre- project stage at OPaL. His responsibilities included land acquisition, the development of detailed feasibility reports (DFR), securing pre-project approvals and clearances, shaping project contours, engaging front-end engineering consultants, and development of bid packages for critical, long- lead items such as DFCU and downstream licensor selection.
Furthermore, he played an integral part in facilitating the financial closure of the project through debt syndication and sponsor support agreements, which included securing funds through quasi-equity instruments like Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs) for OPaL.
Shri G. Moolnarayan joined ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) as Head of Polymer on 11th October 2021. He is a Graduate in Chemical Engineering of the 1991 batch from NIT (National Institute of Technology), Rourkela, Odisha. He started his career as Production Engineer with Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited (IPCL), Nagothane. He has rich experience of over 28 years in the areas of Concept to Commissioning of Projects, Stabilization and Operation, working in HDPE, LLD, UHMWPE & EVA Plants.
Before joining OPaL, Shri G. Moolnarayan was working with Reliance Industries Limited, Dahej as Vice President (Operations).
Shri Lalitesh Kumar joined OPaL as Head of Central Technical Services (CTS) on 1st April 2017.
Shri Lalitesh Kumar is an IIT (Varanasi) graduate and has been working with OPaL since 2010. He has been instrumental in the successful commissioning of the Dual Feed Cracker plant, which is considered to be one of the largest cracker units in south Asia. He along with Head - Cracker led the team OPaL in achieving the earliest commissioning of the plant.
In his professional career, he has rich and diversified experience of Greenfield projects of Ethylene Cracker in Operation, Process Engineering, Project Coordination and Project Management and worked with various prestigious and multicultural organizations, viz, IPCL, SABIC, Sidi Kerir Petrochemical (SIDPEC). He is also a Six Sigma Black Belt and has acquired proficiency in SAP as Power User for PP Module.
Shri Rajeev Vijay joined ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) as Head – Utilities and Off-sites on 10th October 2017. He is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and has a rich experience of 25 years in the diversified areas of Utilities, Off-sites and Maintenance, Power Plant Operations, Energy Conservation and Resource Management.
Shri Vijay is also a Certified Boiler Operation Engineer (B.O.E.) from the Government of Rajasthan 1995 (Batch). Before joining OPaL he was working with Matix Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. as a General Manager (Mechanical Maintenance).
Shri Vikas Agarwal joined OPaL as Head of Maintenance on 8th July 2017. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and possesses more than 25 years of rich experience in the Fertilizer Plant, Power Plant & Petrochemicals sector.
He started his career with Indo Gulf Fertilizers and has worked across various organizations like IGF and Reliance Industries Ltd. He has expertise in maintenance related activities across various manufacturing sectors and large setups like Petrochemical Plant, Rubber Plant, Naphtha Cracker, Acrylonitrile Plant, Ammonia Plant and Urea Plant. Before joining OPaL, he was working with Reliance Industries Ltd.
Shri Sanjay Varma has joined OPaL as Director – Marketing & Corporate Strategy on September 4, 2024, bringing over 36 years of extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sector. Renowned for his exemplary leadership and transformative impact, Shri Varma has a proven track record of driving organizational success.
His career journey began in 1993 at MRPL, where he progressively advanced to roles such as Group General Manager, Director-Refinery, and eventually CEO & Managing Director (Additional Charge). Throughout his tenure, Shri Varma was pivotal in orchestrating a transformative overhaul that achieved record-breaking capacity utilization and significantly enhanced the company's market position. Under his visionary leadership, MRPL experienced a dramatic surge in market capitalization, climbing from ₹11,000 Crores to ₹40,000 Crores, thereby cementing its status as a market leader. His adept expansion and consolidation strategies in the petrochemical sector further solidified MRPL's dominance and ensured long-term success.
He played a significant role in revitalizing MRPL, steering the organization to achieve its best-ever performance, making it India’s largest single-site Oil PSU for the financial year 2022-23. Shri Varma’s strategic initiatives at MRPL included enhancing operational reliability, achieving record capacity utilization, and expanding company’s market presence. His efforts were pivotal in positioning MRPL as a market leader and driving substantial growth in key segments such as Polypropylene, Benzene, and Xylol. Shri Varma is recognized for his innovative approach, including the development of a cutting-edge product portfolio with tailored Polypropylene grades. His financial acumen is demonstrated by a transformative strategy that reduced MRPL's debt from Rs. 25,000 Cr. to Rs. 14,000 Cr, while achieving record revenue of Rs. 1,24,000 Cr. His leadership also orchestrated a ~300% increase in market capitalization during his tenure as CEO & MD and Functional Director on the MRPL Board.

Shri Rakesh Johari has joined OPaL as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer with effect from 14 th June 2024.
With over 22 years of extensive experience in Secretarial, Corporate Finance, and Insurance across both listed and unlisted companies, Mr. Johari brings a wealth of expertise in Corporate Governance, Statutory Filings, Legal Affairs, Taxation (both Indirect and Direct), Insurance Management, and Treasury/Fund Management.
Prior to his tenure at OPaL, Mr. Johari served as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer (DGM) at Munjal Auto Industries Limited, a prominent entity listed on both BSE and NSE and part of the Hero Moto Corp Group.
Mr. Rakesh Johari is a distinguished Company Secretary and a qualified Cost & Chartered Accountant (CA & ICWA). He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Commerce, along with a Licentiate from the Insurance Institute of India, New Delhi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management.
