Managing Director
Shri B. H. Vasudev Prasad joined ONGC Petro addition Limited (OPaL) as Managing Director on 6 September 2026. He brings with him over 36 years of rich professional experience in the crude oil refining and hydrocarbon industry, with extensive expertise in Projects, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources, Maintenance, Design & Engineering, and other functions. He has held senior management and board-level positions with wide-ranging experience in project execution, business operations, corporate governance and organisational leadership.
Shri Prasad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech in Engineering Management from Mangalore University/Manipal Institute of Technology. He is also a Certified Project Manager, Level D, from PMA.
Prior to joining OPaL, Shri Prasad served as Executive Director (Projects) at Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC, from August 2020 to May 2026. During his tenure, he also provided leadership in Projects, Corporate Strategy and Marketing. Earlier, he served as Group General Manager (HR) and Head – Human Resources at MRPL.
Over the course of his career, Shri Prasad has led major greenfield, brownfield and revamp projects across the hydrocarbon value chain, covering process units, offsites, tankages, pipelines, terminals and other strategic facilities. He has also played a key role in formulating and implementing growth strategies.
He has held board-level responsibilities on the Boards of Shell MRPL Aviation Fuels and Services Limited and Mangalore SEZ Limited, besides serving on various key management and Board committees.
With his diverse experience spanning projects, strategy, marketing and organisational leadership, Shri B. H. Vasudev Prasad brings to OPaL a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic vision and institutional leadership.
Director (Finance & Commercial) and CFO
Shri Ritesh Kumar Mundra has joined OPaL as Director (Finance & Commercial), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), w.e.f 30th June 2026. Shri Mundra is a Chartered Accountant with over 27 years of diverse experience in Corporate Finance, Procurement – Material & Services, Foreign Exchange Payments, Investment Process, Startup Evaluation, and SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO).
Before joining OPaL, he served ONGC in several key positions. Most recently, he was Head Finance for Assam & Assam Arakan Basin and Jorhat Asset, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, business performance, and strategic decision-making.
He successfully completed the prestigious Leadership Development Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 2025, further strengthening his leadership and strategic management capabilities.
During his distinguished tenure at ONGC, Shri Mundra was a key member of the team that established the Shared Financial Services (SFS) framework. He was instrumental in developing the Role Matrix that laid the foundation for SFS operations and contributed significantly to streamlining ONGC's Book of Delegated Powers, enhancing governance, operational efficiency, and role clarity across the organization.
His professional excellence has been widely recognized. He was selected among the Top 60 executives under ONGC's prestigious Unnati Shikhar Leadership Programme, through which he attended the High-Performance Leadership Programme at Chicago Booth.
Company Secretary & Compliance Officer
Mr. Rakesh Johari has joined OPaL as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer with effect from 14 th June 2024.
With over 22 years of extensive experience in Secretarial, Corporate Finance, and Insurance across both listed and unlisted companies, Mr. Johari brings a wealth of expertise in Corporate Governance, Statutory Filings, Legal Affairs, Taxation (both Indirect and Direct), Insurance Management, and Treasury/Fund Management.
Prior to his tenure at OPaL, Mr. Johari served as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer (DGM) at Munjal Auto Industries Limited, a prominent entity listed on both BSE and NSE and part of the Hero Moto Corp Group.
Mr. Rakesh Johari is a distinguished Company Secretary and a qualified Cost & Chartered Accountant (CA & ICWA). He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Commerce, along with a Licentiate from the Insurance Institute of India, New Delhi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management.
