At OPaL, sustainability is a shared responsibility driving operational excellence. From December 15-19, 2025, NECW-2025 was celebrated across the campus with strong participation, aligning with the initiatives established by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
The week began with the Mr. Arup Jhampri, COO and senior leadership taking the Energy Pledge, a commitment echoed across all plant locations. The event witnessed remarkable engagement, with over 350 entries from employees and widespread awareness through daily communications and digital campaigns.
A key highlight was the "Innovative Energy-Saving Ideas" initiative, which generated around 25 impactful ideas with a potential saving of ~7575 Gcal.
The celebration concluded on February 3, 2026, with a ceremony led by the Mr. Arup Jhampri, COO, recognizing winners and contributors. The message was clear - while the week concluded, the commitment to energy conservation must continue every day.
As we look forward, the success of NECW-2025 stands as a testament to what we can achieve when innovation meets intent. Together, OPaL is not just consuming energy; we are conserving the future.
