The International Women's Day was celebrated with much fanfare at OPaL's Dahej Plant on Friday, 6th March 2020. Women's day is celebrated across the world to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women in the social, economic, cultural and political sphere. 'Each for Equal' is the theme for this year. All the female employees of OPaL were invited to celebrate this occasion at Dahej Plant. Smt. It focused on issues like work life balance, creating a support system at work and home, problem solving, confidence building, etc. The Trainers Ms. Rashmi Kulkarni and Ms. Saloni kept all of the ladies enthralled with the interactive tasks.
The latter half of the day was reserved for a sumptuous lunch which had a spread of delicious cuisines followed by a fun session of songs and dance. The celebration concluded with an open forum discussion about various aspects of personal and professional life. In her interaction with the attendees, Smt. Vimla Nigania said that the “Each for Equal” should not just remain the catchy tagline but should become the value in our day to day life. Similarly, a small celebration was organised at the corporate office in Vadodara. Those who couldn’t make it to Dahej plant, celebrated the day by cutting a cake and later Shri Avinash Verma, MD-OPaL, interacted with the group.
