Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024: A Commitment to Ethical Practices

Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024, observed from October 28 to November 3, 2024, was a significant event dedicated to promoting integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct within OPaL and the wider community. During this week, OPaLians at all locations took the Integrity Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to ethical practices and responsible behaviour.

A series of engaging activities took place throughout the week to raise awareness and foster a culture of vigilance. The Slogan Competition, held in Vadodara and Dahej, saw over 50 participants, including OPaL employees and their families. As part of VAW 2024, workshops covering key topics such as Conduct Rules, Cyber Hygiene & Security, Procurement Procedures, Ethics & Governance, and Organizational Systems & Procedures were conducted to enhance employees' understanding and awareness.

In addition, OPaL extended its message to a wider audience through social media platforms like X, WhatsApp and Facebook, sharing daily vigilance quotes.

To create awareness among students, OPaL organized drawing competitions on VAW theme at M.K. High School and Baroda High School in Vadodara, where over 100 students creatively interpreted concept of Vigilance. Seminars and workshops in Vadodara and Bharuch, along with the distribution of e-posters via social media and the company website, further extended the reach of the event.

The importance of vigilance inspires OPaL to uphold the values of responsibility and ethical conduct in both professional and personal spheres.
