Fostering Awareness and Promoting Safe Practices Through Engaging Activities

OPaL observed Road Safety Week - 2025, from January 11th to 17th, 2025, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to building awareness on road safety. The week began with a mass road safety pledge, where employees and contractors committed to adhering to road safety norms and spreading awareness.

This annual initiative, in line with the government’s mission to curb road accidents and promote responsible driving, aimed to engage employees, contractors, and stakeholders in activities that would encourage road safety practices.

The theme for this year’s observance was “C.A.R.E.” (C-Consistence, A-Affirmed, R-Road Responsible, E-Education) emphasizing the importance of both proactive and reactive measures to reduce road accidents, protect lives, and ensure the safety of everyone on the road.

Throughout the week, OPaL conducted a series of impactful activities aimed at educating employees and contractors about safe driving practices and the importance of road safety. The activities include Road Safety Pledge, Road Accident Incident Model Demonstration, Road Safety Rath, Nukkad Natak” on Road Safety, Road Safety stickers distribution, Road Safety Talk with Transporters, Medical Check Up / Alcohol test detection for Drivers, Community Awareness program on Road Safety in nearby schools, Awareness Campaigns Through TBT sessions on Road Safety, Vehicle Safety Inspection.

Through this observance, OPaL reaffirmed its vision of a safer work environment. It was a reminder that road safety is not just an individual responsibility, but a collective effort that requires active participation from all stakeholders.
