OPaL Launches Environment Rolling Trophy

OPaL reinforced its commitment to sustainability with the launch of the Environment Rolling Trophy during Environment Week 2025 at its Dahej site.

Introduced for the first time, the Environment Rolling Trophy was designed to recognize outstanding environmental performance across two categories: Process Plants and Service Departments. The initiative invited participation from all safety districts, providing teams with an opportunity to showcase their efforts, innovations, and best practices under the Environment Management System (EMS).

Following the launch, departments and plants were encouraged to strengthen their environmental performance over the next few months. A detailed evaluation process, including field verification by a panel of judges along with the Environment team, was conducted to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment.

Based on the overall performance, the inaugural winners were announced. The Material Management Department secured the top position in the Service Department category. In the Process Plant category, the Captive Power Plant emerged as the winner, while the Effluent Collection and Treatment Section was recognized as the runner-up.
