OPaL Observes Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2025

OPaL commenced Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2025 on 27 October 2025, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical governance. Celebrated annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “Iron Man of India,” Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a tribute to his ideals of unity, integrity, and good governance, values that form the cornerstone of nation-building. The theme for VAW 2025, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” emphasizes that ethical behaviour and transparency are not merely individual choices but a collective responsibility.

The event witnessed the active participation of top management and employees across OPaL. At Vadodara, OPaLians took the Integrity Pledge along with Shri Gurinder Singh, Managing Director, Shri Sanjay Varma, Director – Marketing & Corporate Strategy, Shri Sanjay Bharti, Director – Finance & Commercial, and CFO, Shri Amit Kaul, Head – Human Resources and Shri Rakesh Johari, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer.

At the Dahej plant, Integrity Pledge was taken by employees in the presence of Shri Vikas Agarwal, Head – Utilities & Offsites, Shri Rajeev Vijay, Head – Maintenance and Shri G. Moolnarayan, Head – CTS and Head – Cracker (Additional Charge). The Integrity Pledge reflected OPaL’s deep-rooted belief that integrity is the cornerstone of sustainable growth.

As a precursor to the week’s observance, a Capacity Building Program on Cyber Hygiene and Security was organized to enhance awareness of digital vigilance and cybersecurity best practices. As OPaL continues its journey towards excellence and growth, the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 serves as a powerful reminder that integrity is the foundation of progress. By embracing vigilance as a shared responsibility, OPaLians uphold the true spirit of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of working together to build a strong, ethical, and self-reliant nation.
