National Safety Week 2023 Celebrated at OPaL

The National Safety Week 2023 was celebrated across India to commemorate the foundation of the National Safety Council by Govt. of India. At OPaL, The National Safety Week was celebrated heartily from 4th to 12th March. This year's theme was 'Our Aim, Zero Harm'. On the opening day, safety pledge was administered at all the locations. At PMC building, Shri Arup Jhampri, COO-OPaL, administered safety pledge and spoke about importance of safety.

On the second day, 'Permit to work' training was organized for OPaL employees at TDMC. Similarly, PP maintenance and HSE jointly conducted safety training for contractors in SSR-2. Effective use of PPEs, safety in scaffolding preparation and use and many such important issues were addressed in the session.

Later in the week various events and activities were organized to promote the importance of industrial safety. Interactive activities like Spot Quiz, Tool Box Talk (TBT) competition and Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) competitions were organized throughout the week in all the departments. Safety quiz was organized to educate contractors and to reinforce the importance of safety in all the departments.

All the events and activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees and contractors across departments. The closing ceremony was organized on 29th March where prizes to all the winners were handed over. OPaL congratulate HSE department successfully organizing the event.
