OPaL Ignites Excellence with Strategic Leadership Program

OPaL had the privilege of hosting Shri Manoj Barthwal , former Executive Director of ONGC, for a powerful three-day leadership development program at OPaL.

With over 37 years of managerial experience, Shri Barthwal has a distinguished record of driving business success by strategically aligning HR with company vision, navigating crises, and implementing transformational training.

The leadership series commenced on 10th September 2025 at Dahej, where Shri Arup Jhampri, COO – OPaL, welcomed Shri Barthwal and introduced him to the participants.

Day 1 focused on empowering shop floor employees with practical tools on workplace excellence, strategic thinking, and personal development.

Days 2 & 3 (11th–12th Sept) featured high-impact sessions on Strategic Thinking and Leadership, including personalized Personality Profile assessments for participants.

At the Vadodara Office, the session commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of Mr. Barthwal by Shri Amit Kaul, Head – HR. This was followed by insightful remarks from Shri Sanjay Varma, Director – Marketing & Corporate Strategy, and Shri Sanjay Bharti, Director – Finance & Commercial and CFO, who both shared perspectives from their professional journeys.

Shri Barthwal shared impactful anecdotes and leadership lessons such as:

• “Learn from the Eagle – fly high to avoid the noise.”
• “Innovation lasts forever.”
• “Over-supervision is counterproductive.”

His emphasis on perspective-taking, strategic clarity, and effective communication left a lasting impression on all attendees.
