  • 26 - Jan - 2021

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated at OPaL, Dahej plant. Shri Avinash Verma, MD – OPaL, Chief Guest, unfurled the national flag which was followed by ceremonial parade by the Security & Fire & Armed SRP platoons. After unfurling the flag, Shri Verma addressed the gathering. In his address, Shri Verma said that we (OPaL) have identified our business targets and we are working towards achieving them. OPaL is in a good position, and as a company, we have all the necessary resources and skills. Shri Verma touched upon some important developments which have a bearing on OPaL's business. 'For the year 2020-21, we had kept the target of becoming the cash positive company. I am confident this target will be met as I consider the current stage as a turning point for OPaL. As a young company of this scale and size, we are able to fulfil our cash requirements on our own is a great achievement. We are on the way of commissioning the LPG pipeline and are moving decisively in SEZ exit process', he added. Shri Varma expressed his pleasure in OPaL's growth and overall business environment. He noted, 'India has traditionally been known as the service provider country but it is seamlessly transitioning into a manufacturing hub. In this space, OPaL is emerging as a strong and formidable force. And it is consistently marching towards achieving excellence'. Looking at the future, Shri Verma said that for the next financial year, we have set the target of achieving the net positive position for the company. It's an ambitious target, but we are confident of securing it and becoming a self-sufficient company.
