OPaL at CCPS National Meet in Vadodara

Centre for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) is a non-profit corporate membership organization with American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) that identifies addresses process safety needs in the chemical, petroleum & pharmaceutical industries. OPaL being one of the leading companies in the petrochemical industry has always championed the cause of process safety. CCPS organizes Regional Meet regularly since 2009. For the CCPS National Meet conducted in Vadodara on 2^nd December 2022, OPaL was the main sponsor. The theme of meeting was “Process Safety Incident Investigation and Learning from the experience”.

The meeting kicked off with the insightful welcome address by Shri Arup Jhampri, Vice President & President (I/c), OPaL. Shri Jhampri’s session tapped on all the important points of process safety. It was followed by CCPS Global updated given by CCPS ED & CEO Shri Sahkeel Kadri. OPaL had invited Shir R Venu Gopal, Joint Director – PESO as key note speaker in the event, whose session was very well received by the audience.

The Panel Discussion on “Role of leaders during process safety incident investigations” was organized in which Shri Vikas Agrawal, Head Maintenance from OPaL was one of the panellists. He gave his valuable inputs on the subject.

During the sessions that followed, various Process Safety Incident Case Studies with in-depth learning were presented by Well-known industries. The event was hugely successful as more than 135 Prominent business leaders, process safety experts and consultants attended the event in view sharing and learning attitude.
